Code Brew Labs developed the first version of the BharatPe app, of which Mr. Grover was the then Managing Director. As the business duo was working in tandem at the time, their conversations increasingly started veering toward a possible future alliance.
While still in college, the first-generation entrepreneur started a fast food truck business–Hungryville–across Chandigarh with a personal investment of Rs. 8,000. And right after completing his graduation in Computer Science from Panjab University, Mr. Ghavri started a gaming app development studio in 2013 with his college friends.
He also co-founded two other ventures; Retainlytics (a data analysis product) and Fush (a social media app). Today, he leads the way as the CEO of a 100-crore tech firm headquartered in Chandigarh, Code Brew Labs.
The company provides a comprehensive app development ecosystem including UI/UX design and analytics. It has recently launched a marketing and growth consulting firm called Co Brew Ventures, and a blockchain-focused firm, Blocktech Brew.
Code Brew has branches in Dubai, New York, London, and Mexico. The company has a team of around 600 employees and over 10,000 clients including BharatPe, Nielsen, Vodafone, RedVault, and Prostop Canada.
Mr. Ghavri, who has now grabbed the national spotlight with the Third Unicorn announcement, has been working alongside Mr. Grover since the venture’s incorporation in June.
“Big announcements are due in February,” said Mr. Ghavri. As far as the nature of the company is concerned, “that remains the billion-dollar question!,” as told by Mr. Grover.
“All I can say is that we are doing things very differently, without the limelight, to build the next TODU-FODU thing,” he further said.
And we at Code Brew say that when the best of minds collide, there is bound to be an explosion. Until then, we wait.
